Fun Run Day in PE 10/9/18

Reported by adrienne_morgan@ipsd.org on 10/1/18

Dear Young Parents,

Mr. Pape, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Guernsey and Mr. Maldonado are raising funds for Young School and the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation (IPEF) through the October 21 Naperville 5K and ½ marathon.

Next Tuesday, October 9, Young students will take part in a “Fun Run Day in PE”.

During the October 9 Fun Run Day, parents
have the opportunity to participate and help Team Young raise funds for Young School and the IPEF during the 50 minutes specials block.

Parents can participate in the Fun Run Day by doing the following.
• Watch your child(ren) run/walk, parents donate $5/adult toward the fundraiser—
Or
• Run or walk with your child(ren), parents donate $10/adult toward the fundraiser.

When parents arrive on October 9, they should check into the office and get a name badge before heading to the field or gym. Weather permitting, the “Fun Run” event will take place outside in the back of the school during the grade level 50 minute specials block. If it rains, the event will be held in the gym.

Specials Block: 9:55-10:45 (2nd Grade)— 10:45-11:35 (1st Grade)— 12:10-1:00 (Kdg)— 1:00-1:50 (5th Grade)— 1—50-2:40 (4th Grade)— 2:40-3:30 (3rd Grade)

Students are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and bring a marked water bottle with them to the event. We hope that your generosity and the practice of physical activity and service to benefit students at Young can help all students achieve their greatest potential.

Parents who participate in the event, will earn a ‘Super Coupon” for their child. (Super coupons include items such as first in line for recess, sit where you want at lunch, say the pledge, etc.)

Thank you so much for your support. Together we can make a difference.

Sincerely,
Rob Maldonado, Tony Pape, Monika Miller, Terona Guernsey
